How To Clean The DIRTIEST Places in Your Bathroom and Keep it Extra Clean

Even the cleanest bathroom can be contaminated by germs. These tips will help you deep clean your bathroom to remove more grime and shine.

If you picture a place that is really filthy, chances are you don't think of your house. Whether you like it or not there are many germs in your home, starting with your bathroom.

There are obvious places to clean, such as tiles and toilets, but there are many nooks and corners you might not be aware of, like towel rings and shower caddies. The things you use for organizing your space can become just as messy as the space. These tips will help you get rid of the dirt and shine up your bathroom.

Toothbrush and holder

Clean it With all the bacteria in your mouth and those floating around in your bathroom, your toothbrush can quickly get dirty. Although a holder is a good idea, bacteria can still spread from toothbrush to stand. Your toothbrush holder should be cleaned every week in the dishwasher. You can also use hot water or soap.

Top tip According to the American Dental Association, you should replace your toothbrush every three to four weeks.

Dirty duo - Tiles and grout

Keep it clean When you flush your toilet, bacteria-laden water and vapor escape from the bowl and land on the floor. You're likely to bring in more germs if you wear dirty shoes that you walked in from the street. Traditional mop pads can make small bathrooms look cramped. To reach all dirty spots, you can use a microfiber spray mop designed with both a pad and a spot scrubber. The mop can be filled with any cleaning solution that you like, and the pad can be washed repeatedly.

Top tip - To make your tile floors sparkle, use a grout brush to clean the grout. If the tiles are white, you can also use a bleach solution.

Dirty duo - Taps and handles

How to clean the sink. It is easy to get grime on the taps and handles. Deep cleaning brushes can be used to remove all traces of grime from the tap and handles.

TOP TIP: The smaller, deep-cleaning brush is particularly useful for getting into the corners of the handles and around the tap base. The brush also has a built-in blade that can be used to clean around drains.

Dirty duo - Razors and Loofah

Keep it clean While you're sitting in your shower, personal grooming products can attract germs. A shower caddy with hooks that allow you to hang your razor and loofah after each use is done will be the best way to reduce germs. Accessory organizers are better than leaving shower aids on the bathroom floor or countertop.

Top tip - To reduce germ growth, you can put the razor in oil. Every three weeks, switch out the razor blades and loofah.

Dirty duo - Bathtub and drain

Clean it Because of the moisture in the tub, this area is a breeding ground for bacteria. To get rid of soap scum, use a mild, yet gentle, cleaner with disinfectant depending on the tub's material. To cover the maximum area with minimal effort, use it with a heavy-duty scrub brush. To drain the tub, you can use the small, deep-clean brush blade to clean the edges. This will remove any gunk and prevent it from causing damage.

Top tip - To make your drain shine, take it out and soak it overnight in a mixture of distilled vinegar water. Rinse the drain with cold water in the morning.

The duo of dirt: Mirror and medicine cabinet

Clean it. To clean your cabinet's interior, take out any items and spray 50/50 water/isopropyl alcohol solution on a soft cloth. Next, wipe the shelves and backboard with the cloth. You can use a mirror squeegee to clean the mirror. The windshield wiper blade will ensure streak-free results.

Top tip - Avoid using vinegar-based cleaners or ammonia-based cleaners. They can cause damage to the cabinet's surface.

King Of Dirt: Toilet

Clean it - This one is hard to ignore. Your toilet is germ central. You should use a toilet bowl cleaner to keep your water clean. Also, make sure to brush the toilet at least once per week using a toilet brush.

The top tip is that behind the toilet is a particularly grimy place where dust loves to collect. Use a spot scrubber for the bulk of the gunk. Then use an extendable duster to clean the back. The rotating head can reach even the most difficult spots.
